Seedling emergence water: After sowing wheat, if the soil moisture is insufficient, timely watering of seedling emergence water should be carried out to ensure the water requirements for seed germination and seedling growth, and promote the growth and development of seedlings. Generally, it should be done within 3-5 days after sowing. If the soil moisture is below 60%, it is necessary to consider watering the seedlings.

Winter water: Before wheat enters the winter season, it is usually irrigated from late November to early December when the average temperature stabilizes at 3-5 ℃. This irrigation can increase the soil's heat capacity, prevent wheat freezing damage, and create favorable conditions for safe overwintering and greening growth of wheat seedlings.

Returning green water: During the spring wheat returning green period, usually from late February to early March, the decision to irrigate returning green water is based on soil moisture and wheat seedling growth. If there is less rain and snow in winter, the soil moisture is poor, and the growth of wheat seedlings is weak, early watering with green water should be done; If the soil moisture is good and the wheat seedlings grow vigorously, it is appropriate to postpone the watering and return to green water.
